Is a card-reader the only way to get MP3s from my computer to my Treo? It does work, but I'd prefer to use my Palm Desktop (software), but that hasn't worked

Do you have an SD card, or are you just putting them in RAM? If you're putting them on the SD card, a card reader will definitely be faster than trying to hotsync mp3s.
