    Default Need Help

    hi everyone, here is my problem. I have ares which is a file sharing place like limewire. I have been able to download those songs onto my treo 700p easily but when i have the actual cd and try to put those songs on them, it doesn't work. How do you do this. I hae windows media player

    Well when importing them what format are you importing them in?

    i think i am putting them in windows media audio because it wont let me rip the music into mp3

    yeah wma is not supported yet by any palm os device. Even though kinoma 4,ptunes, and coeplayer are working on that.

    look under your import options and select "import as mp3". That should fix the problem. I haven't used wmp in a longtime so I can't tell you the exact steps but it should be there.

    On my laptop, I use RealPlayer to rip my CDs into mp3.

    go to tools>options>"rip music"> Change format into mp3 then make sure that the ripped music is going to the folder you want then rip it.

    If you are unable to rip to an mp3 with Windows Media Player, you may need to download (purchase) an mp3 converter. When I downloaded WMP version 10 I was unable to rip as mp3. From the WMP screen I was able to go online and purchase the software that they recommended. I think it cost $10. It works for me.
