Question about how Treo Data Works Hey everyone, not sure where else to put this. I'm in Canada using Rogers.
I used to have a Treo 650, the thing I loved with it was that it used normal data unlike Blackberry. So I paid $5 a month got 5mb of data and could do anything with it. I've switched to Solo Mobile due to pricing but want to go back shortly. Now it's $7 a month for unlimited mobile data.
It says on the Rogers page though, not for Smartphones such as PDA Blackberry and windows mobile devices.
I'm looking at the Treo 680 or the 700/750 I forget which, the one with windows mobile. I'm just curious, do they now use a different technology meaning I need a special data plan, or can I still use these phones with normal data unlike blackberry? Just curious if Rogers says no but it will work, or if they are now different and will act like blackberry and say no data connection unless i have a PDA data plan? |
