Removing Cingular Software on UNLOCKED 650

Ok here's the thing, I got a Treo 650, however, there's no data cable. So, I got myself one from ebay. The thing arrived and I tried to connect it on my computer, nothing happened. I installed Hotsync software and tried to llink my Treo, still nothing. I already initialized the connection on the phone itself. The cable doesn't have a hotsync button on it, I dunno if this is the problem.

Can somebody help me remove this freakin cingular software and connect it to my pc?

Have you tried initialiizing the HotSync from your Treo? Press the HOME button which is your applications launcher. Go to HotSync and press the screen icon. You might want to reboot your computer if this doesn't work.

I"m guessing you've installed the Treo software that came with the 650?
