I'm surprised no one suggested using your Treo as a flashlight. It's even getting to the point that people are using cell phones instead of lighters at concerts... lol:

Yes on the flashlight. I have a tab setup within ZLauncher that is empty with a red background and another one that is empty and has a white background. Ben

I used it at a concert as a flashlight to find my wife's earring that fell. Very handy.

Dave Navarro made mention on SuperNova that the cellphone is the new lighter. Too funny. Something about a stadium with cellphones lit up doesn't cut it compared to the "good ole days" of lighters.

There is application for the Moto Q that uses the cameras flash as a flashlight.

I am aware of a couple of WM devices that actually utilize the flash as a flashlight.

I wonder if people are using Cell Phones in place of lighters at Concerts if that familiar haze/fog I used to experience is still present??

Like said in previous posts, the best...or worst part of the Treo is that there are tons of ways for poeple to contact you. Email, SMS, IM, VM, and calling direct to the phone. Who still uses a phone to actually call someone now anyways. Even on vacation I check my emails. You can't even say I left my phone at home anymore. No one beleives that since when you have a Treo, your life revolves around it and are dependent upon it.

The only communication that this does not offer is a built in carrier pigeon. Hmm, I wonder if that is next...

I paid $ 169. for the 650 direct from Palm. Educational discounts apply to Students, Teachers, AND Home Schoolers!

DON"T FORGET YOU CAN WATCH MOVIES ON YOUR PALM!
Big Question: I have Handbrake and TCPMP, everything seems to be working EXCEPT.. no matter what I do Handbrake only rips up to half the movie for my Palm. What am I doing wrong? Please remember I'm PalmTreo650 & MacBookPro.

Here are my handbrake settings:

fps: 15
Encoder: XviD
Avg Bitrate kbps: 260
2 pass encoding
MPEG-4 Video/AAC Audio
MP4 file
Language None
Audio
Language 1: English AC3 5ch
Language 2: None
Sample Rate: 4800
Bitrate (kbps) 40

The downloads section here is always a great place to look. Then there is the pop-up king of the net - http://freewarepalm.com/.

In the case of the 750 it would be the sister site - http://www.freewareppc.com/. There is also http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ which doesn't have the pop-ups.

I rarely hit freewarepalm due to the pop-ups. Ben
