Touch Screen Nerve Death? Huh? Hello:
I'm new, so if this topic has been beaten to death here, I apologize.
I have two Treo 90's and this week, both have developed a strange symptom.
The lower part of the touch screen becomes desensitized. Touch works only in the upper three quarters of the screen. All other navigating functions seem to work but the "find" feature, using typed letters in the lower section of the screen, only beeps and doesn't initiate an action.
Only a hard rebooting restores the sensitivity of this area of the screen.
(Background info)
Both units are carried in a soft pouch and I do hear continuous key action clicks occasionally from pressure against the pouch. I remove the pressure from the bottom keys and it stops. (This has been the case for three years and has never caused any problems.)
Does anyone have any idea what is causing the "nerve damage" on the screen's lower portion? Is it a software issue?
Many thanks
