Last question,

If I get the unlocked Treo 650 now, when the 700 comes out in gsm, can I trade the 650 for an unlocked 700?

And what is better Palm OS or Windows.

That depends on whether Palm offers a "trade up" program. If so, I wouldn't expect to get much off a new 700.

That's a personal preference. If you have familiarity with Palm devices, then I wouldn't say there is a reason to switch. I've used both and both have their advantages. I'd say the Palm is easier to use - as the 700w requires navigation through multiple menus to activate a specific action. I did quite a bit of comparison between the two in my Treo 700w Review.

Very quick reply.

Any important or wanted new features that the 700 has, or are the 650 and 700 about the same.

It's hard to sum up 11 pages of a review..but I'll try.

Treo 700w has EVDO - fast broadband connection

Treo 650 has higher resolution screen

Both have extensive libraries of software available.

Treo 700w camera is higher resolution than 650.

The biggest difference is the OS.

Thanks everyone for all the help.

I'm about 98 percent sure that i'll get the Treo 650, but.

I have recently discovered that you can't voice dial from the bluetooth headset. Is there a work around for this or something? Like if I speak very loudly will the Treo hear me? I remenber that someone I knew had a treo 650 and the Treo bluetooth headset. He pressed a button on the headset, said a name and the phone dialed, then he talked. DOes it work like that or am I crazy?

You can enable voice dialing on the Treo 650 with the use of third party software such as VoiceDialIt. This capability is built in to the Treo 700w. On both the 650 and 700w, you will not be able to voice dial directly from your Bluetooth Headset.

Good luck with your decision.

If a phone network doesn't use SIM cards, that would mean it is for CDMA. SIM cards indicate a GSM phone. The two systems are not compatible.
