Verizon Wireless Data Plans
I am concerned about my Treo from Verizon. I used to have this phone back when the data plan was 44.95 a month. I disconnected it because of personal reasons however recently re-activated it. I was told by the rep that the new unlimited data plan was now 29.99 a month. I was a little excited about this because I find that to be a great price for unlimited e-mail and web usage.
Since re-activation, I have been doing some research and finding a few forums and blogs where others are saying this is not true, it is a bad deal and you get slammed with hidden data usage fee's. I have downloaded quite a few apps and browsed some websites. Paranoid, I have checked my bill everyday and even though my usage keeps going up, the little bar that indicates my limit still says "unlimited allowance."
Has anyone here been on this plan for a few months that can tell me if they are having billing issues after using e-mail and web?
I am looking at you Ben, you seem to be really active and knowledgeable.

I've had my Verizon account for years and have the unlimited data plan. I haven't seen any hidden fees in my bills. I will also add that in the month of August I had major Internet issues in my apartment building. I turned to my Treo to access my emails and other daily surfed websites. The price was still the same the next month.
I think you can rest easy that this good deal is really a good deal.

Excellent! I have had Verizon for years and have never even thought of switching. I have just been reading horror stories from folks and it is hard to distinguish between true and fabricated accounts.
People are saying "$29.99 is not unlimited" and "Verizon has revamped their definition of the word Unlimited". Just really weird and odd stories...
Thanks for the response. I just wanted to make sure no other customers are having issues with their data plans.
