    Default Warranty without receipt?

Hi everyone. I recently purchased a Treo 700w. I purchased it from an individual, brand new. Well, I don't have a receipt, and the phone works perfectly. I was just curious if anyone had any advice on what I could do to safeguard myself in case the phone does develop trouble down the line. i.e. Send proof of purchase off side of box to Palm? Talk to Verizon? Thanks.

When you activate it with Verizon, ask them about insurance for the phone. I pay it monthly..something like $4-$5 per month and it's well worth it. If you have troubles, they'll send a replacement.

Good point. Not sure, but it is worth a try. Please let me know how you make out. Good to know for future reference.

    Good luck.

Hello. Just got done on the phone with them.. $5.99 a month and they will cover it!!! When I initially got the phone I had to call to activate cause you can't activate Palm's on the verizonwireless site. Well, I guess the rep on the phone today checked and saw I just activated recently, and assumed I bought the phone from them. He set it up for me!

    Thanks Chris! Appreciate the help!
