Chris, an interesting recap and I also am one that is beginning to look around. I love the Palm OS and the 700p. My device has been stable and is a pleasure to work with. The setup is smooth, access to my applications via multiple paths, screens that are functional and easy to get around, informative today information via three different applications, the list is rather large.

However, the attraction for Windows is growing. I tried the three major "Windows-like" launchers and settled on Launch-Anywhere. I had a 700w for work purposes that I liked to an extent, but did not take the time to customize. I look at the 700wx and ask myself - will Palm update it to the newest level? I look at Sprint and see a device there that is interesting, though it too runs release 5, has wi-fi, et cetera. Thing is, I have no interest in wi-fi.

What am I really loosing by staying with the 700p until the Treo series is updated to the next level? Nothing serious at this time.

As for mismanagement, the word is very exact in the context used.
