Default What Treo(s) should I consider?

Hey guys, I'm new the board and need some advice.

I recently lost my Palm Tungsten T3 :frown:.

I'm right now basically looking for a replacement (or better). Instead of looking for another PDA (Palm TX maybe), I've decided maybe I should consolidate instead and get a Smartphone.

Right now I'm using an SGH-D807 on the Cingular network, and would like to stay on Cingular. Right now, I have no plans to subscribe to a data plan, but I might invest in a Wi-Fi card.

What do you guys recommend in terms of a Smartphone (doesn't necessarily have to be a Treo:wink. I noticed there is a 755p coming out soon for Spring...Does this mean a comparable replacement is coming out for the current 750?

    Thanks guys!

Treo was rated as the best PDA phone on the market by consumer reports. Stay away from the crackberry and Moto Q (if these are even available on the Cingular plans). I would go to Cnet or Epinions and read the user reviews of each of Cingulars PDA smart phones

I went with the Treo 700P because my contract was up at Verizon. Prior to that, I've been using the T|X for over a year and LOVED it. Except for the lack of a microphone, it was the best PDA I've ever had.

So now when we're running errands on the weekends instead of grabbing my phone and PDA (and if I'm driving - my iPod), life got a little simpler.

I've been hesitant in the past with smartphones because I wasn't sure how I felt about having my phone and my PDA melded into one unit. But it turns out it was a wise purchase.

Good luck! The Treo 750 is an excellent choice.

Cingular has been awesome for me in this area. Much better than my experience with Sprint and Alltel. It really comes down to location and carrier but since your not that far from me, I figured it worth mentioning . . .

yea I cant get Cingular for 2 reasons, mom in law works at sprint, so I get the best deal possible for me:

    500 anytime
    1500 nights and weekends
    free roaming
    free data package
    free mobile to mobile
1 free or discounted phone a year (this year was New treo wx for $250)
    $15/month

I have not had a dropped call yet from Sprint, they get a bit shady in the backwoods of Blountville, but so does verizon, alltel, and even cingular

If she is interested in adopting another Son-in-law, I will gladly drop Cingy to get that deal:tounge:

There are a couple of dead spots in the Blountville Area! I have lost signal there with Cingy, but all my band buds who have service with Sprint and Suncom experience the same problems in the same places, so its not a personal thing with me and Cingy!
