 |  Why no Wifi?????  I see all the new phones out and they look neat but I am a treo man for right now. The newer phones seem to be able to use wifi but not the treos.... I am getting to the point where I am going to cancel by internet data plans (four phones) and just keep text and phone service. When that happens wifi is going to be required for me. Opinions on the best phone pda with wifi out there. Just need wifi and the ability to sync with outlook and I will be set up. Iphone is just like the funny commericial stated a great device but a below average phone. (might be our local service but other phones work well here)

   | I feel your pain Plunker! In the last few months, I have considered leaving Palm several times . . But there is something about it that keeps me with the Palm OS instead of jumping ship. One that grabs my attention however is the HTC TyTN II. The screen tilts, it has WiFi, and a true GPS radio. But then I think about WM06, and the learning curve. The price of buying the device outright! Additional funds for cases, chargers, software. Suddenly, the Treo doesn't look that bad. I am hoping that I can maintain this attitude until a Palm Linux OS, that better include WiFi!

| As much as I use the net on my Treo, I wouldn't use the wifi if I had it. I use it at work A LOT, wifi wouldn't help me there because I use it go to sites that are blocked at work (bodybuilding sites, HBO, WWE, some political sites etc). I also use it when my girlfriend and I are driving to her parents house, wifi wouldn't help me on I-77 or at her parents house. Wifi wouldn't help me at the bar on league night when I want to look something up either. I'd much rather have my unlimited data plan than wifi. |

| I agree with SR, that HTC TyTn II is looking mighty interesting. I have the same reservations about the price and, for me, it would mean switching networks but all the goodies on that thing just might tempt me to do it.

| I don't check the web that much but when I do I am at home, or in a motel with wifi. There are times but not very often that I do a quick check on my team. Use does not justify bills. Kids are pressing me for iphones which involves switching networks(have sprint now) and they will use wifi on the phone.
