Default ***new preware 10/8/09: Read this first***

I don't really get the new changes to Preware, but they are making some important changes or something. Just do as they say:

    http://forums.precentral.net/webos-p...ches-feed.html

    Basically:

    1) use emergency patch to remove patches even virtual Keyboard
    2) UPDATE PACKAGE MANAGER FIRST (YAH, FIRST) 0.9.7)
    3) then update to new preware (0.9.3)
    4) then you will be able to put patches back on

somehow they are changing the auto-patch feed. I am about to do now but felt inclined to post first, just in case EMP is set off...IDK :dft003:cool

    check the link.

Emergency patch is not new. It removes all the patches at one time.

i just thought it was new that they made such importance and even a new stickied thread to update preware. thought it was important to post that you had to follow their instructions to the dot.

Quick question. I installed the Package Manager Update (but not the Preware Update), but I haven't removed my patches. Do I need to remove them before updating preware? Or is that only if you already updated preware without the package manager?

    Probably a coencidence(sp?).
After installing the new pkg manager through preware, rebooting and installing the new preware my phone would no longer allow me to hear calls, just static on the line.
Removing pkg manager through preware, and getting an error of course it's working again.

Is there a patch in Preware that allows you to delete all messages at once?

I only see a patch to do this for Emails not Text Messages.
