    it seems on any app i need to remove to re-install i get some error and i need to see the ipkg log

    can i manually remove a patch?

    Try using WebOS Quick Install. It will sometimes removed a program that messed up.
    Also try EPR from Preware and as a last resort WebOS Repair Utility without compatibility.

    thanks. i was just about to post an update. EPR (Emergency Package Recovery) worked great.
