I'd suggest contacting the developer. My guess is that it's pulled for good once it goes live on the App Catalog.

smonme, you can email me at Joe@SacherSoft.com. The IPK was put available while the full version was under review by Palm. If you like the older word list, because the new paid version is too wordy (a complaint I am currently addressing with two modes for the next release) then we can work out getting a copy of the older word list to you.

If you are adverse to purchasing a copy for the reasonable price of $2.99, then I appreciate others doing the ethical thing and not distributing my code. I did not put a time limit on the beta as a respect for the users. To developer this app I have spent over 300 hours, which means it cost you 1 penny per hour of my time.

    Regards,

    Joe-
Thanks for stopping by and helping out. Are you going to continue distributing apps via Homebrew?

Yes. However it will be the 10 level version of Word Whirl Lite. It will be under a different AppId than either the live Word Whirl and Word Whirl Lite. This will keep it from colliding with the versions in the Catalog, which is current happening with anyone with my beta version. The code will be the same in Word Whirl and Word Whirl Lite and have High Score, which is disabled in the App Catalog version of Word Whirl Lite.

I am looking at including some type of authentication method to allow those who have purchased the full version of Word Whirl from the App Catalog to try out the beta with the full word lists. This is in the works and may or may not work. I definitely won't have 7,000+ users banging on the full thing ever again. This will be a select small group of testers.

Most users were happy to support my efforts with a purchase after getting a couple months of free game play. I hope that some of my planned enhancements make them even happier with their purchase.
