You say you have tried all kinds of resets. If you have a a good backup 'cause the Treo gods smiled on you, have you tried a hard reset, which deletes everything? Then try a sync.
Here is a list of all the various resets and procedures.
If that doesn't work you might think about uninstalling your Palm Desktop and sync software, reboot your PC and try reinstalling the software. You should also rename your backup folder BEFORE deleting everything so all your info is still available for reinstallation.
