I work in film, where everyone has an iPhone. I have enjoyed my $40 a month plan too much to switch over. So I bought an Instinct and a Touch, vowing to wait until AT&T's exclusivity was over. Now I'm hoping that the Pre makes me forget about all that.

Thank you. It seems to be a nice community. As for Twitter, I just joined recently. Having Facebook integration has been a boon, as I don't think I would use it otherwise. I'm still searching out a purpose for it.

I think different people tweet for different reasons. many just stay in their close knit group, where others (like me) branch out. I find local news agency tweets the most usefull (like following the news story in tacoma about the carjacking with kids), and tweetdeck's search capabilities help me stew down to exactly what I am looking for info on (palm pre, or travel to mexico), or wanting to dialogue about (sushi/sake/best coffee in seattle).
Oh, and if you are looking for a really cool forum, try www.everythingq.com even if you don't have a Q, the people there are really quite awesome and will keep you in stitches.

I used to be on that site when I had the first Q. It helped me install NES. I'm not sure why I ever stopped going, but I will be sure to look into it again.

Ha, yes. Yes I did. It was an interesting phone. I really disliked that the backlight on the keyboard buzzed, though.

Well its not supposed to do that. I disliked how mine would randomly WSOD (White Screen of Death), and there was no recovery, I went through 3 like that before I made them send me a 9c. LOL

All of the first Qs did it. And I heard it was a problem with the Q9C, as well. When the blue backlight on the keyboard is on, you can hear a buzzing if you hold it up to your ear. Most people I knew couldn't hear it, but I could. I had to have the keyboard backlight set to 1 second so that I could have a conversation on the phone.
