Just Joined: Gadget geek, developer and student

Hi all!

I've never been very big on forums before, so I figured I'd jump in headfirst, say hi and let everyone know what I'll be bringing to the table.

My name's Jordan, I'm a self taught programmer. I'm a gadget geek, so I'm terribly excited to buy a Pre. I've felt for years that a good mobile would be a tiny computer that made calls when appropriate, and it seems that Palm's finally going to put that one out there.

I'm here on everythingPre to talk about the news as more info becomes public, and share resources with other developers. Once the SDK is public, I'll be here offering help to people trying to build with it.

As far as my own development, I'm working with a group of friends out in Silicon Valley to develop for WebOS.

We were initially going to be developing for the iPhone as well, but we got a chance to play with the Pre and see what WebOS is capable of -- and got thoroughly NDA'd so I'll be able to explain more about that after the SDK is public. We decided to focus our efforts on some really cool features that are only possible on WebOS, instead.

So that's my story. What brings you here? Anyone else planning on developing?
