Cingular runs on GSM technology and there's no definite date yet for the release of a GSM version of the 700p, just the stuf coming out of the rumor mill. I've heard some recent rumors of the last quarter of this year. Chris, the site administrator, did reviews of both the 700w and 700p. Take a look in the reviews section, you should find them very helpful.

| LoL. Wow was looking online and pretty much summed it up. 700p is palm based and 700w is windows based. Guess I should reserch a little more before I post. Well been skiming through the site as well, and let me tell you, WOW. It's great, and the people her seem cool as hell, not like some of the other forums I've been on before. Thanks for the reply and info. |

Before I got my first Treo, I bounced around several sites too and found this site to be the same way. That's what drew me here and the help I got here led to me getting my first Treo. Glad we could help.

| Another thing. I'm an avid Windows user, not mac os. Would the 700w, be better for me, for example, would I be able to sync a 650/700p to my pc or would I need extra software/hardware for it. Or should I just go with the 700w. You also mentioned some rumors (only rumors) about cingular getting the 700 series, would you or anyone else happen to have heard rumors of them getting both or just one of the 700's. I think I was looking at some other carriers and verizon was the only that had both. Oh-yeah before I forget. Thanks for the welcomes , and as allways, thanks in advance for and replies/advice! |

| Like you, I use Windows on my home desktop, my laptop and at work. I used PPC's too, until getting my 650 late last year. The 700p is my 2nd palm device. I have no problems whatsoever. I've sync'ed with my desktop and laptop and I use Outlook for my home email and contacts, etc. There's no problem between Palm on the Treo and Windows on everything else.
As for the rumored 750 on Cingular, here's a thread for the rumor folks. You can probably find all kinds of others floating around the net, too.

| Thanks man. So just to get it straight I would be able to sync the 700p to windows. Would that mean that the 650 would be able to do the same as well? Sorry if it sounds like silly questions, I just wanna make sure I get the right device for me is all, I don't like to over do it, and pay more that what i need. Thanks again. |

| Your questions aren't silly at all. Makes sense to ask questions before laying out big bucks on a phone/PDA. The 650 or 700 can sync with a Windows-based PC running Outlook with no problems at all.
