New to this forum. Getting a Palm 750
Hi, I recently bought a Motorola Q to try because Best Buy had one and didn't have any Palm 750's. I took it back yesterday because I found that I missed the touch screen too much and I like the layout and feel of the 750 better. My son recently bought the 750. I will be ordering a 750 tomorrow. I set myself up here to begin investigating all the ways to use the 750 as well as problems people have experienced and their resolution. Thanks in advance for any help and advice. Clarence Beauchamp

have you considered what you wish to accomplish with the device? I am looking seriously at going with the 800W - I have crossed the line a few times and continue returning to Palm OS.

Yes, I want to use the device as a PDA and Phone. I have a Palm V that I have had for years. It works fine but has three problems. #1 It is not color and therefore is difficult to see except in just the right circumstances. #2 It is difficult for me to carry around conveniently. #3 It is not a phone so I have to carry 2 devices. I have tons of info in my old device that I want to move to the 750. I know the 750 does not use the Palm OS but I can live with Windows. My son has one so I know how it works. I like the idea of being able to pull up spreadsheets. I may not even use the web abilities. I hate having a needle in my arm economically. (Monthly payments) I am getting old and I need a PDA to remind me of a lot of things and to remember a whole lot more. I could use the Palm 680 and get the Palm OS but quite frankly I love the feel of the 750. I like the rubberized texture and size of the unit. I recently bought a Motorola Q and took it back. I didn't like the fact that it didn't have a touch screen. It was way harder for me to minipulate than a 750. It seemed much more clumsy to me than the 750. It seems nowadays that everyone is in love with thin. Thin is not that important to me, in fact I like the feel of a thicker device like the 750. I am with AT&T and do not want to switch so I am limited to certain phones.
Thanks for asking.
