    Default 700 v/s 650

We are deciding which to buy, the 650 or the 700. Whats the difference?

The biggest difference between the 650 and the 700p is EvDO. The 700p features broadbandlike speed.

There some additional improvements over the 650:
    • Faster processor
    • More memory
    • Improved interface
    • Includes PocketTunes
    • Dedicated Call/Hang-up buttons

There are other differences, but these are the major changes. In my opinion, EvDO and the additional memory are the biggest changes with the 700p.

yeah, I would have liked to get the 700p, but for one thing I couldn't afford it (ok, I could barely afford this) and I know I would have gotten carried away with the evdo. Sprint's evdo plan is $5 more than the regular data plan and I know I would have needed it. I'm pretty sure I would use it and I don't need that additional monthly carge on my bill.

    Default Not too new but...

Glad to be on a forum with fellow TREO users. Have a 650 and love it. I've considered many times recently, upgrading to the new 700. I'm not into networking in a big way but I have to say I've never met a fellow TREO user I didn't like. HELLO!

Can I be dumb and ask what edvo is?

    Default Hi

Hi everyone. I'm not new to the forum. I visit this forum on a regular basis. I enjoy the boards and the information I get on how to use my 650 and lastest developments in the Palm world have been invaluable.

With the caveat that you need to live in an area where EvDO is available. With Sprint, for example, you can check this page for coverage information.

This thread would be a good place to start. Just check with the vendors to make sure the app is compatible with the 700P, there's a few that aren't yet.
