Outlook Calendar Sync Error

I'm a new user but a very technical person. I was syncing with my Outlook and was repeatedly getting the below log of my error. Calendar would not sync. PalmOne's troubleshooting did not resolve the issue.

Here is what worked for me. Specifically the detect and repair Office suggestion did not work for me. This may or may not apply to other Ole errors but could help with calendar issues. I opened my outlook calendar. I selected "View"; "Arrange by" ; "current view"; "recurring". I gave all my recurring appointments end dates (as suggested at PalmOne). This by itself did not resolve the issue.

Then I viewed by "event" and deleted any appointments older that a couple of years old. I actually had stiff in there from 2002 forward. Now the calendar is syncing great between my Outlook and the Treo650. I guess the calendar on the Palm can't handle never-ending events or very old events.
