Default Permission to come aboard

Hello All,

I have been a very loyal Treo 680 user for some years now and I will be receiving a Treo 750 today. First off, did I make a mistake by upgrading? Also, I will not be able to access my desktop for some time as I am on the road, so I will not be able to hot synch any time soon. I hope I can hot synch later and swap over the items I have downloaded (utilities and photos). I also bravely assume that once I swap the SIM card in the 750 that I be good to go for Outlook, etc. Am I correct or living a dream world?

I look forward to being a member of this august body,

Craig

Permission granted and welcome aboard. Where have you been, we have been waiting!!!

A mistake upgrading? That is for you to decide. You are leaving the Palm OS for Windows Mobile, so be sure to share your thoughts and impressions.

If you are unable to sync for some time I stongly urge you look into a card based backup program so that if you do have a crash while away you will be able to restore without missing a beat and losing data. I am not sure what is available for the Windows platform. Resco and Backup BuddyVFS are two favorites for the Palm system, but I can't tell you what is comparable. Look around.

Are you talking about a SIM card or an SD card? SIM is for a GSM phone and that is wht gives you service with your provider (AT&T, TMobile, etc.). An SD card is for data and media storage.
