Not a good poll at all. There are pros and cons to this that your poll does not consider.

You seem to be asking others to make your decision for you. Only you can decide what fits your needs and if I recall, you had a 700wx, Altel "convinced" you to change to a BlackBerry and you decided to go back to a 700wx maybe because your son liked his?

What do you want???? If you like Windows and their way of doing things get the 700wx. The Palm OS is ancient, but generally works and is simpler than the WM platform.

Frankly it doesn't sound like anything will truly make you happy. Smartphones are still not a perfect science and if you are looking for something that will never have a quirk, never have a hiccup I think you are chasing a dream.

I for one have made the change to the BB platform and while I miss the simplicity of the Palm OS, this is what I have to work with. The reason my company changed to BB was because no matter which Treo we tried there were stability issues. They tried 650, 700p, 700wx and 755p. That was before the 800w came out so I can't speak to its reliability, but any of the older generations seemed to have some kind of issue for a variety of reasons. This was on a corporate Exchange server, which may be very different from your personal situation.

Sure, it was easier for me because they handed me a BB and said here is what you will use, but you know what? No matter what they have provided over the last ten years I make it work for me. I worked hard for three years to keep the 650 I had running smooth and overall I was successful but even that began to fail weekly at the end and was probably at the end of its life when the BB decision was made. You know what else? I actually like the BB and I really don't miss the touch screen. The only thing I still miss is the superior calendar system that Palm had developed and really perfected. But BB does a bunch of other things very well and it has never crashed or even reset once in eight months.

Make a decision, jump in and make it work instead of wondering what could have been if I didn't let them push me towards this, that or the other one.

Or maybe you should get an iPhone?

That is great advise. I have had a few phones myself and the wife has had 2 BBs. Her BBs never crashed, but were limited in a manner that Palm is not. So yes, stable, just does not meet everyone's needs. I have the 800W and stability is not an issue with it; however, Windows 6.1 Professional has issues that keep it from being "perfect." Those issues include alarms not sounding, duplicate alarms, events not eventing (related to alarm problems) and Bluetooth volume. The standard battery takes a while to condition, but handles ok for most people. For those that WANT or need more battery life, the 2600ma battery rocks (I rock, but do not roll).

One thing to consider, can you buy one, give it the 30 day trial and if that does not make you rock, then try the other? I did that once and it rocked.
