Default Please help....tethering problems

I previously had a Sprint 755p and was able to successfully tether via bluetooth to my laptop. Now I've switched to the centro and have been unable to tether. I am dialing #777 and it seems to be working as the DUN icon shows up on my centro. However, after about 15 seconds I get error message 678 "The remote computer did not respond...." I really don't understand why this isn't working. I've set it up the exact same way as my 755p. Is there something I'm not doing right in the setup process? Some option I need to check in a menu somewhere? TIA, this is very frustrating!!

I found it much easier to use PDANet, as it takes the pain out of the fun one has in configuring and getting it going. With PDANet it is normally install and browse.

Well there is no point IMO to get PDAnet if it was working perfectly on my 755p without PDAnet. Well as luck turns out, I lost my centro over the weekend....I activated my 755p again and low and behold it tethers perfectly via BT w/o PDAnet. I set it up the EXACT same way as the centro...does this mean sprint has blocked tethering on the centro? I'm gonna make an insurance claim to get a new centro but I'll just sell that if tethering doesnt work, though I want the "My location feature" that centro now has for "GPS" functionality on GMaps, etc.

Have you ever considered one of these?.. http://store.everythingtreo.com/free...10A95A2869.htm If the treo can tether without issue, and all you want in a Centro is the virtual GPS like the Centro, I'd try this first. The small size of this device makes it an easy tag along in a pocket if you are just walking around even. I'm hoping to try it once I get some other accessories for my 755P taken care of.
