Looks like it was all a hoax . The Treocentral member has been banned.

They should ban the guy. It's amazing how the rumor spread - many outlets were reporting it as legit news. Engadget, Brighthand.

Does this mean I have to should change this thread from 800p to 700p.

With all the p buzz, we forgot about this week's orginal rumor of a Sprint 700w.

Busy week and entertaining.

One theory of these new pre-production Treos finding their way into the hands of consumers is that Palm is trying to create a buzz (frenzy) over them. I don't know if it's what they're trying to do, but it's working here in rambo47-land!

I was looking for a new treo and will probably wait for the 700p. the 800p was funny and the forums members so dumb. it looks like everybody wrote down specs without reading the guys post which was a pretty obvious joke. now the treocentral moderators look like idiots so they banned the guy who did a pretty funny joke. looks like treocentral isnt a fun place to be and children run the place.

i think it is because of the treocentral guy's post about the 800p that everybody went crazy with. from what i read about the answer, the idiots at treocentral all went crazy about the specs and didn't read the funny post any teenager would know is a joke. it went all over the world and then all of a sudden a 700p finds its way out. i think the 800p is what revealed the 700p!!!!!! awesome. i will wait for one since i need a new phone.

To keep things neat, I started a new Treo 700p thread. The photos soaring around the Internet are here as well. From everything I've read, it's the real thing. Shadowmite, well know Treo ROM hacker, has already gotten a hold of the ROM and confirmed the OS.

See you in the 700p thread. We can all reconvene at this 800p thread this time next year. I'll bring the beer and chips.

I was trying to learn about 700p… and now this 800p has popped up… I tried searching for it and got to know it will be released in March is it already out… or still in the pipeline…

The fabled 800p turned out to be nothing more than an elaborate rumor. The 700p appears to be the next release -- and photos that have turned up look authentic.

I'm new to all this. I've been a Treo 650 user for a few years now. Check out this website I found trying to dig up some information on a new Treo with Verizon.

Can there be such a thing? I wanna believe, I do, I do. What the hell is Verizon waiting for... the 700wx! This would be worth waiting for if I were Verizon. Does anyone know anything about this?

Clearly a photoshop job, but a good idea. Basically take the Life-less LifeDrive and meld it into a Treo.
