These are details on the Treo 800p:

EV-DO
128MB RAM
WiFi option
SD expansion
Bluetooth 2.0
enhanced 320 x 320 display
3.2 megapixel camera

It seems the rumor mill is in full swing. First we see the 700w being rumored for release on Sprint and now we've gone right past the proposed 700p to the 800p. The release date being mentioned was March 15th. :rolleyes:

This report also comes via technology site Engadget who picked it up from TC (another Treo forum). Maybe I should start a thread about a Treo 900p and see if that gets picked up. The Treo 900p features a 5 megapixel camera, Directv Total Choice, NFL Sunday Ticket optional, both XM and Sirius, 512MB Ram, WiFi built-in, HDTV capable, etc...:tongue:

Ah...rumors.

Maybe this makes the 700w go down in price ? no word on pricing yet i imagine ?

I complain about the price increases (SuperFan), but could never go without it.
Funny thing is my team (Cowboys) was on regular TV more than Directv this season.

We're in the pure speculation phase right now. If I had to guess, I'd say $399 with 2 year contract - as it was with the 700w.

If it's got EV-DO then we're talking Verizon, right? Damn, my service is T-Mobile. :mad: Looks like I'll have a nice wait for the unlocked GSM version to hit the Palm store.

Could be Verizon or Sprint.

There is a large GSM market waiting for a new Treo - that's for sure.

I don't know how you all feel about other message boards, but over at TreoCentral there is a thread (38 pages!) by a guy who claims to have a 700p in his hands. General consensus seems to be that he's legit and this is a pre-production model.

Some specs:
Palm OS: Garnet v5.4.9
EV-DO
Re-designed buttons slightly
Spectacular reception
pTunes, SprintTV, Documents to Go 8 all in ROM
Blazer 4.5
Bluetooth 2.0

Still no built-in WiFi

Interesting read..that's for sure. This one appears to be true -- and really we all knew a 700p was coming soon. An analyst in Forbes confirmed an early April launch. I wonder if it's in testing process, rather than a full production unit.

BT 2 will be nice.
