Default Upgrade from 650?

Just coming back to Treo after needing to use Blackberry for a couple of years due to the job I had. Still have my old 650 and it was a workhorse. The only issue I have had in the past with it is the small memory, but the new SD cards are relatively huge, cheap and I believe all I need to do is get one and move most of my programs and large data files there and avoid the memory problem. (I have over 2,000 contacts.) Is that correct? What other benefits would there be to upgrading, and if I do, which Treo should I should I consider (we use Verizon and I am a road warrior)? Thanks.

Since you seem to be a fan of the Palm OS, go with the 755p.

Hi.
Well, the 755p is a CDMA phone, but you'd have to go to the 680 for an upgrade from the 650.
Loved my 650 and liked the 680 even more. Don't miss the added weight.

Phone: Treo 680...now? Waiting for the new Palm Pre.
Carrier: Rogers, BTL, C&W, AT&T, Vodafone (Italy)
Case: Had leather horizontal pouch, but the magnet affected the performance. Silicone at the moment; works great for hot weather locales.

My 650 is on the fritz...what did you end up going with on your upgrade?

I bought Verizon's warranty plan when I re-activated my 650. Verizon could not fix a problem I was having with my 650 with software, resets, etc., so they sent a replacement phone. Since they no longer have any 650's in their warehouse the replacement was a 680. Since they only send the body and fresh battery (no back panel), my 650 back panel would not fit the 650. They went to their highest supervisor and they could not send a back panel only (against company policy). So they sent me a brand new 755p, the only phones they had with back panels. While it was a bit of hassel for a few days, it made me glad I bought their warranty!

Very cool. I had the same result when my 650 was having data issues. Sprint wanted me to drive to the nearest repair center and hour away. Instead I requested an insurance replacement. The replacement had the typical 650 bad headset jack, and they replaced that with a 755.
