The problem Blackberry is so different than anything else out there. It knid of like Mac (Sorry Chris!) - Mac is even slowly moving towards MS standards.

Easy now. Mac is the standard. Windows has long tried to copy the Mac OS and GUI. Apple however was not the orginator of the GUI. Xerox actually developed the "one button" mouse and basic GUI that Mac's are built upon. It just took Steve Jobs to see "this was the future". As for the switch to Intel, I wouldn't say that's a switch to MS standards. I think Apple was tired of waiting for speeds that match Intel speeds. The only MS software us Mac folks use is "Microsoft Office".
There is a tremendously interesting book on the start of computing called "Insanely Great". Great read that tells the story of the Apple Macintosh. I would say that Pirates of Silicon Valley, the TNT movie, is loosely based upon this movie.
"TreoBerry".... lol. If you take away the "push", what exactly makes it a Blackberry? The ugly blue form factor?
