It's a start. ANY steps is better than none.
Tip: Only make resolutions you actually plan to keep.
I have a small list of things I plan to have in place by the end of the month. My Treo is filled with thoughts and ideas. Nagging me daily. At the worse, I'll do them just so I can have the fun of checking them off as completed.
I like using the new year as a renewal/reinvention time -- then, I've used April 16th, August 10th, October 13th...and other dates.
Here's a thought for you, let's say that you suddenly had amnesia. Your memory of who you are and what you do is wiped -- hard reset! You have to start your life over from this point.
Who would you become and what would you do? What kind of foods would you eat? Would you exercise? How? Who would you associate with? How would you spend your free time? How would you dress? If you had to start fresh, what would you choose to have in your life?
Think about it. When you have a plan that you like, give yourself a hard reset.
