Details of a revamped version of the Cybersecurity Act of 2009 emerged late Thursday, months after an initial version authored by Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.V.

Notice the bill was proposed by a Senator with "bipartisan" support.
There's a lot of proposed bills that never make it.
Some are proposed just to make a point, as the NY Senator that proposed mandatory military service a few years ago.

I knew that but its the nature of it that pisses me off. Kind of like the idiot mayor in NY that had pawn shops in the Carolinas raided blaming them solely for guns in NY.

Well sort of. I had a federal firearm license a few years ago.
I can say some of the shops I dealt with in VA were "shady".
Years after I closed, you have to keep the records for 7 years, I was getting call about guns I sold to other dealers.
I never got on call about a gun sold to an individual.

Politics sometimes needs to be keep in perspective cause it's all "politics".
