Default Thank You!

I just wanted to thank everyone out there who has given me valuable advice and support regarding my MANY questions. I recently received my Treo 650 as a gift from my husband and I had no idea what it was all about. I thought it was a pretty expensive phone that took pictures. Boy, was I wrong!

After visiting these forums, I realized how much more it's capable of! It's a little overwhelming! I'm so hooked on these threads that I think my husband regrets buying it for me! Oh well . . . too late now!

Anyway, thanks again. It amazes me how much people are willing to take the time to help out total strangers. Special thanks to Stillrockin, Kreth, maceyr and kdallen for your committment to my questions. Hey, if you guys ever want anything from Hawaii let me know. Mac nuts maybe?

Don't worry about sending me anything. When you put me and my fam up for about 5 weeks, that will be payment enough!

Honestly, I could have written your same post just a few months prior. Even though I have owned Palm products for the last 9 years, there was so much about the OS and the Treo in particular that I had no idea about! This forum and its members have helped me a lot also. I don't consider myself an expert at all, just someone who is amazed daily at a device called the Treo. It has many limitations, but it does so many things so well. And by the way, there are lots of Treo forums out there, but for some reason, its here that I head daily. Chris has created a little magic here making this feel like a community rather than a forum. Kind of like the neighborhood bar. Everybody knows your name thing . . . . .

You're welcome for any tiny piece of help I may have given you. I know what you mean about everyone here being so helpful. Like you, I'd never had any Palm device before. I'd always had Pocket PC's. The people here pretty much swayed me over the fence and into buying my Treo and have been a HUGE help ever since.

Ooops . . . forgot Chris. Thanks Chris for having the vision to start and continue to monitor the forums. It must take up a lot of your time.

Boy, I sound like I'm making an acceptance speech at the Oscars!

By the way, if you haven't already, Chris has added a very valuable section to this web. Its an FAQ for new Treo Owners.
http://www.everythingtreo.com/kb/
There are lots of common questions contained in this section that seem to come up often. Its a great resource with a wealth of good information.

I'd like to thank the academy and...

It's always nice hearing the site is "more community than forum"...it's the people here that make the site.

I don't suppose you could package some weather and ship it to NY, say sometime next January?

Wish I could 'cause NY definitely needs better weather in January.

January 2005, my sister and I planned a trip to NY. We were at the airport waiting for our flight when we heard there was a huge blizzard there . . . one of the worst in years. They were telling people to stay indoors. We ended up jumping on a flight to Vegas instead.
