I know att and apple when they dropped the price on the phone to 99 they also credited people who had recently purchased their phones at 199 $100, I wonder if Sprint would do this for those of us who got it previously. Also wonder if not Sprint, if you bought at BB, if they would? Anyone try?

Quick side note...... We do not have a Facebook app, we have a web app(NOT THE SAME)... Thats one thing i really miss from my Iphone. But in due time Im sure we will have a decent facebook app
I for one also miss all the music production and recording apps. Those were solid and there were plenty of them. People always focus on Fart apps and dont mention things like beatmaker and so on.............

I meant not the monetary value of the device but the perceived value. Perception is everything in business. I worked at my family outdoor store for years and we had many products that had set retail prices by the manufacturer to keep the value of their product up. It also protected dealers from under cutting each other as an added bonus. Not to mention it has an odd effect with the consumer that the price is part of a more elite or aristocratic area as opposed to the inferior 'sheeple' products.
So, that said, a Palm Pre (the supposed elite iPhone killer) has already been cut down to a $100 as opposed to $700-800 a month ago just like any other run of the mill phone within 3 months of release. It suddenly seems like a cheaper phone... but thats my perception on the price.
Get my drift? I hope it makes sense, it got deep there.
I just wanted to clarify that what I meant by reducing the price, especially so quickly after launch, devalues the perception of what the item is worth. I was a little out of it this morning, so I didn't quite say what I wanted. Perception does matter, at least in regard to customer satisfaction and what customers are willing to pay for an item. But this isn't Econ 101 so I'll thankfully stop.
Anyway....Remington said what I meant to, better than I did, so thanks :dft010:smile

Sorry for the delay got really busy but here is what i meant from yesterday. I saw that over 900 apps got approved and then removed in the Iphone app store and made me think how in the world is Apple reviewing these apps http://g4tv.com/attackoftheshow/thef...lip-80409.html . Hence why they are being looked at by the FCC. I don't want Palm or Sprint to go down that same road of just accepting mediocre apps so they can flaunt a big number. The Iphone has great apps and they should stand behind that, not a number.:dft012:wink

I actually bought my Pre the day before Best Buy lowered their price. I went back the next day and got a price adjustment. I was lucky I did because they had already changed the inserts back to the original price, lol.
