    Default Is it legal to sell an unlocked Palm Pre?

    Hello everyone, i have a question that i have heard different answers to. Here it is: I saw a couple of Pres for sale on Ebay. They were both unlocked. Is it legal to sell it unlocked in the States?

    Also, if its unlocked and doesnt have a SIM card slot, what use is it to people?...yes, im a novice:dft004:cry Thanks guys.

    Only if it european model and then i am not sure what comapny in europe sells unlocked version, but if it american then you cant unlock it.

    Pre so easy to use even a caveman can use it.

    Well, you can go to ebay with a friend who has a GSM phone running and with his phone sim card try it making calls to anyone. If it works then you might buy it and go to a USA GSM carrier to buy a sim card for you.

    I donīt know if there are besides Ebay on line, E bay stores where you can go and check it out???

    If the phone is a GSM version then it is from Europe and maybe from Germany where is allowed to sell Gsm unlocked, legally.
