There is no app that you can install on your desktop for pre and i dont think there will be one, everything is web-based now.

Palm provides a one time date migration tool to port your palm desktop/iCal/Outlook date to the Pre... after doing that one time transfer, the Pre then syncs Over the air with either Google/Palm/or MS exchange server I think...

you have to decide which to sync with... but the data should be safe no matter what you choose... Also... will be desktop syncing solutions released in the near future... The Missing Sync - it looks like there is a mac beta version out, and a windows version coming soon...

    Hope That Helps...

I use Outlook at work, and keep most of my personal/business appointments on my calendar, but my company won't allow me to link my phone to our Exchange server... so here's my workaround:

I have my Pre Calendar updating with my Google account. I downloaded Google's Sync software that will sync Outlook to my Google Calendar. This gets everything onto my device while only linking the Google calendar on my Pre.

    What I use: http://www.google.com/enterprise/mar...56617971555852

Also available for sync'ing Outlook contacts: http://www.google.com/enterprise/mar...26272580344305
