Perhaps (and that is a BIG perhaps) they will do something right with the company. The current Palm has made a lot of mistakes which have hurt a great system. My fear is that someone will purchase Palm just to get their patents and then dump the WebOS because they think their system is better.

I was just telling someone on Saturday that this was gonna happen. I even told my this morning I thought HTC or LG should by it, since both companies dont have their own OS. HTC could make a killer phone for WebOS. Ii would love to see Samsung come in and buy it but sicne they are going to Bada, that's not gonna happen

    After iphone os 4.0

    Why HTC?
The situation between Palm's long and twisted history with Apple--the company eclipsed the original Apple Newton with Palm OS but in recent years failed to tackle the iPhone with webOS--could be beneficial to HTC in its legal bouts with Apple. HTC could in effect be shoring itself up with a lot of defense if the company scores a deal to buy Palm and its intellectual property portfolio.

    More possible candidates?
PC WORLD made a short interesting article:

well, there is a lot to read now about these news and would take a little longer to know, who is going to take Palm webOS.

HTC is looking o do its own OS. they need to just buy Palm. You have a proven OS that people really like and if they throw a Sense UI interface on it,would just make it 10 times better.

I just saw both segments on the sale of Palm. I'm not sure what to think. Some say that it is good that Palm is up for sale and others say that if a certain company doesn't buy the company then Web OS isn't going to survive anyway. Web O
S is an awesome system. With a good processor, flash and Doc to go. Nothing could even come close to it. I have dealt with Palm for a long time and I've had other phone also. But there is no better phone than a Palm phone. It is easier to use than any other phone i have had. I have had blackberry, samsung phones, Htc Dash. That is my 2 cents.
Look at the Picture. That's life without Palm
