Can you please obtain some details on:
    1. Backwards compatibility of OS5 apps.
    2. SD card support.
    3. HTML support (view/compose) and push in email.
    4. How often is the contacts/calendar sync'ed and over the air.
    5. Can you also charge via microUSB jack.
    6. Use as USB flash drive on PC.
    7. Spell correction / shortcuts.
    8. Font types / sizes (I like tiny fonts squeezed on a screen).
    9. Foreign fonts/input support.
    10. Battery life.
    11. Oh, and price??

I actually switched from Verizon to Sprint for MUCH better pricing, great 3G, and uncrippled features on Treo 650 (which I replaced with 700p, then 755p), so I'm stoked it'll be on Sprint first! I haven't been this excited about Palm since V and 650!

I wasnt speaking about the cost. I will restate my claim for those of you who cant read. Verizon is a more reliable and accessable network at this point. I pay for the ability to use my phone in more places without issue.

Ant idea if or whwn a gsm model will be rolled out surely sooner rather than later Even i**** unlocked and non subsidized it would be as good or better than the treo pro IMHO if palm does not do this and do it sooner rather than later they will lose the momentum on this new device and they may never be able to get it back. And that would be a real shame.

Palm just moments ago posted new info/pix. www.palm.com/us

Another site says the Sprint exclusive is for the first half of 09...which is about what the Centro deal was? Or did it just seem longer?

Happy to see a mini USB port like the Storm. Enough of proprietary charging systems. But I'm a Verizon guy, and like Lurkett above, with good reason. I always have coverage, while my buds don't! Kind of a big deal.

I use the T3 for the big screen and spreadsheets...and was looking to make the switch. The BB has some appeal, except that real keyboards are nice, it has no Palm desktop replacement, I refuse to use Outlook...so was hoping that this might be worth waiting for. Wondering how it will synch with my Palm Desktop and then what I'll be using is kind of a big deal.

I have had all the Palm Handhelds and Treos and I am currently a centro user and a new iPhone user. I love my iPhone very much. It makes me happy to see Palm attacking Apple with this new phone. It will make for a good fight. I really don't care about the old Palm OS apps that much. I had to start over with the iPhone and being that the apps aren't expensive to buy, i can only hope that the new apps from Palm will be able to compete. I will be buying the new Pre as well (when it becomes available in Germany) but won't be selling my iPhone anytime soon. t will be good to see this thing unfold.

As a former Verizon user, I definitely understand what you mean. But not only is Sprint reception very close, Sprint has FREE ROAMING, Verizon network included.

AT&T is a totally different story. I had a BB 8700 from work ('07-'08) with free unlimited minutes, but hardly used it because of the poor reception and call quality. And friends who called me from their AT&T phones would routinely get disconnected and garbled. But, either people must REALLY love iPhone to put up with it.

I can read just fine. Verizon in this area has more dead spots than a guest stiff on CSI.

Really? I can name you locations where my Sprint buddies lose service and I don't...not to get into a fight, but c'mon...I get service in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming! And at our farmhouse an hour north of Green Bay, which others might consider the middle of nowhere, too! The Sprint guys lose service outside of MN, and 15 minutes out of Green Bay. Things change all the time, of course...

Anybody have any idea when we can watch the presentation video? If so where would we go to watch it? Can we download it from iTunes or any other website?

One example... I used to work for a major NY utility, and their corporate cell provider was Verizon. At the local office, Verizon had to come in and install a mini-tower, as the building was in the middle of a dead spot.
I'm not saying Sprint has coverage everywhere, but here in upstate NY their coverage is pretty good.
