    Default Weather by SMS

    There's a free weather notification service that delivers watches, warnings, advisories and even forecasts to your phone by text messages.

    It's nothing revolutionary, except it's free and includes a daily forecast 'pushed' to your device.... and the warnings are using a new national weather service standard by 'polygon' instead of by whole county.

    A lot of TV stations still say a tornado warning (for example) is for your whole county, but in reality the warning may be just for part of the county. This service checks if you're within the real polygon warning area before sending a notification.

    It's called CellWarn and you can set up a free account at http://www.cellwarn.com/

    Looks interesting, but it says you must be invited to use it right now.
    I signed up an account, so we'll see how long it takes. ;)

    The accuweather app can be free from the app catalog, root the device and navigate the to /internal/apps directory and change the acc.config file line 34 to read registered=1;
