why wont a PNG wallpaper work on my pre?
The only wallpaper I really want off of this site I can't get. I downloaded it (several different times) and put it on my Pre via USB cable but 1 of 2 things happened: 1. As a png file it doesn't even show up on my phone once I disconnect it from my computer. Or 2. I change the file to a jpeg and it shows up just fine on my phone, but when I try to set it as my wallpaper it says "Failed to set wallpaper." WTF do I do? Any ideas....???

right click on the file, check its properties and see what file size it is. It may not be big enough as the size should be 320 x 480.

I was just running into the same problem....I made a wallpaper and emailed it to myself. It won't even save to photos even tho it acts like it did. Convert it to jpeg and everything is fine

yes i had the same problem the pre doesn't seem to like png and bmp files. converting them to jpeg is the only solution.

yes, I dont think just renaming the file to .jpeg works. You need to open the file in another program (paint will work) and select "Save As" then choose jpeg.
