Could you expand on how you send one message out to 30 ppl on the pre? I can not figure it out. Also, I was told you can not forward text msg. on the pre. Any ideas on that?

First thing first, their currently is no way that I've found to forward text messages, as well as copy test that’s already been enter into your message stream.

Now as far as Multi PPL text this is how I do it. In the address field where the name appears just tap in that area and when you the see the cursor blinking type their name and once it show up tap their number (all numbers associated with that name will show) and it will show up in the address bar.

Do this for each name separately. There will be a point depending on how long the names are where you will not be able to SEE the name search field to select the number and at this point you will have to manually type your contacts numbers with the keyboard. Then place a comma then tap space bar to enter names into the field.

The more numbers you enter, you will begin to notice the address field moving up with the entered names accordingly. It was a little tricky at first but thankfully since its part of a routine, I already have the name and numbers I send out to already printed out (75+ names). Depending on how many names that you have it can be tedious but it’s possible.

Side note: I haven’t tried this yet but I wonder if I place all the numbers in the memo pad and copy and past the whole list in the address field. I’ll will test and keep you posted

If I'm not, please update . The emoticons would be nice, too, but hey you can always make the face urself, right? The alert though, well, there's not much we can do about that without some OS changes (unless I am missing it)
I haven't found the way, but I'll keep searching. I want my Communicator chirp back.

Francisco Franco is still dead:laugh3: But that's really OLD SNL!

that's not accurate. i had a BB 8330 before my Pre. i communicate a lot of FYI to my guys while they are in the field. they prefer SMS and that means that i was routinely sending the same message to 3 teams (10-15 each). there were times when many of them were still in the office (picking up equipment etc.) and i would send a "i need ... right now" message and i would hear them getting my messages. it was definitely more than 10. definitely happening at the same time. and tbh, this is the main thing i miss about that BB, the Pre is hands-down a better phone for me in every way exept group SMS. hopefully they will fix it soon.

Hey, that was a great idea. Unfortunately, I just tried it and it registers those names together as one new name. But I really thought that was going to work. I just hope Palm starts updating things like these
