    Favorite Text Messaging

Since I text a lot, i am curious to know how many text messages can the pre hold on to, and more importantly, how many text messages can one send at once. I currently have the Instict and sadly can only send a message to only 10 people at once. Which this leaves me curious to find out if one can send a text or mms to a group? I guess this ties in to the way contacts are stored as well.

Any thoughts/guesses/suggestions on this anyone? :tounge:

Can anyone send more than 10 at once? Every phone I've had has had that limit. Back in the day, it felt wrong to do this, given not everyone had it. But even still, seems like spam sometimes. I'd almost say this is what twitter was made for.

But as for storage, I've never understood why there's a limit. it's text, it's got to be able to fit thousands on even the most basic of phones. Though, I guess it's more of keeping it manageable for the user, since most won't bother.

My wife has the LG Rumor, and she can totally send out a text to everyone in her address book (50+).
I believe that I can too on my Blackberry Pearl 8130, but I've never tried.
I'm guessing that Palm will let you send texts to as many people as you want, since SMS messages are a big money-maker for the cell phone companies.

That being said, I'm assuming that most if not all Pre users will have some manner of Everything Data plan, which means no money for Sprint on a per text basis.

I know with the iPhone there's no limit on how many people you can send SMS' to, so I'm hoping the Pre will be the same just so it can be "up there" and have another way to compete with the iPhone.

    P.S. @elbaso, with BB's you can only send 10 at a time.

No... SMS on the iPhone is like any other phone. Goes through the carrier. Email on the iPhone is via email in a way.

I think you were thinking about MMS on the Iphone... as I understand it, you can not sent Pictures via text (MMS), but the new iPhone OS upgrade will remedy this.
