Default Add insurance after the fact...

With Cincinnati Bell my current cell phone carrier. I had a phone go Bad and was able to just add insurance at that point to get it fix. I didn't have to carry the insurance on the phone the whole time. ( i didn't have insurance on the phone before it went bad) I had to keep the insurance from that point on for 6 months for them to cover getting the phone fix, but I only had to add the insurance when I actually needed it. Can this be done with sprint? Any Experiences with this issues?

    Thanks

It is my understanding that you can add insurance on a phone during the first 30 days you have it.

Wouldn't adding insurance after the phone is broke to get it fixed be considered as fraud? Think of it this way. I get side swiped while driving and I do not have insurance. I call AAA, start a policy, and then turn around a file a claim. It is gonna send off a red flag here.

    I'm just saying...
