That's the one thing I haven't heard. Nobody is talking about the 2.0 updates. very interesting that its being held under such tight lips.
Do you think the Pre will get updated to a WebOS 2.0 or do you think they will have a new device out by then? I'm still questioning the reasoning behind the "Pixi" being the next WebOS phone to follow the Pre.

I don't have an issue with the Pixi being the next webOS device, as much as the carrier choice. Palm Pre is $99 (without rebates). Pixi is $99 with rebates. Less features vs form factor. Same price. I don't think there are enough webOS customers for one carrier to justify two devices in their portfolio. Plus, they've got brutal competition within Sprint alone, not to mention other carriers.

I agree with you there. Palm needs to get WebOS device to other carriers, mainly AT&T and Verizon. I also like to see some versatility out of WebOS. I think they need to look at form factor in a major way. I think WebOS is a cross between smartphone/feature phone formats. Therefor, I would to see some clamshell deivces too. If Android can make the jump to Netbook and Tablets, so can WebOS. This is a peferct time to be working on a new version of Foleo with WebOS. I know they didnt go into production on the units, but I'm sure they have enough around that they could have a prototype ready by Q2 next year. Not to mention , if they do have a bunch sitting around, it only helps them to get rid of them. Or if they only have a couple units, the could drive the hell out of demand (ie. Nintendo Wii or the PS3 mottos)

Spring has a new Samsung World phone in the store running 6.5. I wonder why I didnt hear anything or see anything about this phone.

This is not best news:
Palm stock plunges on downgrade, down 23% for month
Long stated that he believes, “Android will step up in importance at many operators, which, ex-Sprint, would put PALM in the position of fourth OS (AAPL, RIMM, Android) and sometimes even lower.”
Palm not doing so good, someone should come in and buy palm out.
My wife will be getting the Moment if she likes the hard keyboard, and i am looking forward to getting the Hero. But currently the Hero also has its problems with SMS lot of people complaining about the Hero here and in the UK that no sms is coming threw. HTC is working on the fix.
Pre so easy to use even a caveman can use it.
