Question Anyone jumping of the Palm to Andriod??????

Hi guys

I was just wondering if anyone is jumping of the Palm wagon to Andriod( Samsung Moment or Hero)

If you going to be getting the Moment explain why or if you be getting the Hero explain why. What are your pros & cons for jumping off the Palm wagon.

I like the Samsun Moment for 800 MHz speed but i will be most likely getting the Hero and wife getting the Moment cause she does not like the virtual keyboard.

Why are you switching? Just the processor?

Currently my wife has the hero and she cant type with virtual keyboard and i am gettin g her the Moment that has 800MHz processor, and i will be taking her Hero. I like the Hero it has lot of apps and a very nice smooth interface and works great, i just tired of Palm lack of apps and lack of updates but the biggest thing is the lack of customization, i will keep my eye out on the Palm once it grows up a little. I like the webOS but currently it is just not enough for me, i ran both phones and the Hero opens its apps faster i feel no slugish of anyting plus the Hero has expanded microSD card and lot of others things. The Pre is great phone i will most miss the multi cards, i dont like the Pre battery even though i have the extended battery still drains very fast. I dont think it is any place for patches or tweaks for something that should have been standard on the Pre. The syncing on the Gero is lot better and easier and over all it is just a more friendly device, dont get me wrong when the Pre 2 comes out it just might blow lot of phones out of the water and then i get the Pre 2, but for now the Hero is just better over the Pre. If i could afford to keep both i would.

When my year is up, if the Pre has not made some substantial changes I might switch to the Droid.....have to wait until my year is up anyway. I am looking for Documents To Go; iSilo; ability to change all notification sounds; ability to choose between Sprint Navigation instead of Google Maps; plus a few others. If, at the end of my year, Palm has only added a few more games then I am gone.......unfortunately because I really love my Pre.......but.........

Aesthetically I don't like them. I don't want buttons on the face of my phone.

Buttons dont bother. I'm coming from a Touch Pro to the Pre. The only thing I miss about my phone is the memory card slot, file manager and video. Everything else is I can live with. I'm getting my wife the Moment and I have thought about switching to it to, but I hate having the same phone as her. So I might wait for the next big thing to come out.

That's why I never liked the HTC phones and still don't.

I personally dont see what is so bad about the Hero, but thats me. I have the Pre and the Hero and both are solid phones.
