Default Buy at Sprint Store or Best Buy

I am going next week to pick up my new Pre and was curious if it would be better to buy it from BB or the Sprint store..

At Sprint I am going to need to send in a $100 mail in rebate however at BB it is automatically $100 cheaper...

Is there a substantial difference in the tax charged though (7%) as BB has the phone valued at $850.. I saw this referenced somewhere on these boards so I thought it was worth checking into before I put down the cash..

BB charges up to $78 in tax because it does have the full retail at $850. The actual retail cost is $549.99. If you order it over the phone (if possible) they will also give you the $100 off instantly and you save about $38 in taxes alone.

i got my at bb, if you are eligible you will get it at $199.99 plus your tax rate for me me the tax rate is 8.05% so it was $16.10 bringing it to a total of $216.09 i have been getting all my phones at bb for the past 3 years there for that same reason, discount is on the spot and for some weird reason my discount status shows i been eligible since 2006, so i gotten a new phone every year. although now if you are sprint premier customer your eligible every 12 months for full discount.

I got the Pre and a free phone, used to get the discount, for $209.
Get it from Best Buy simply to avoid the rebate.

BB for sure. Walked out for $215 in about 15 minutes. They weren't inconsiderate, confrontational, condescending, or rude.

BB I paid 222 with taxes and the Protection plan. $10 a month, which covers EVERYTHING except theft/loss. Like if i decide to run over it with my car etc.

    And I don't pay a deductible.

The "problem" is if you drive over it with your car it's obviously hosed yet they will send it out to see if it can be fix while they giv you some kind of loaner.
If your keyboard stops working for example TEP will replace it on the spot.

Go to best buy get the prtection plan. I'll rock the loaner any day versus the deductible looming over my head.
