cheapest Sprint plan for 700p?
This is probably a stupid question, but the way the Sprint data plans were described to me by the rep didn't make a whole lot of sense.. and I was in a rush, so I just went with the top Power Vision Pack (Ultimate Pack) for $25/mo on top of the phone plan. Does anyone know if the $15 Access Pack is sufficient? This is for a 700p, if it makes a difference.
Thanks

Yep, it sure is. I kept the basic data plan I had with my 650 when I upgraded to the 700p and it's fine. I don't need any frills, I'll find apps to do that for me.
Sprint Treo 700p 2Day, 4Cast, Agendus Premier, BluePill, Butler, Chatter, Diddlebug, Flight Status, Google Maps, LightwavPro, MyBible 4, Noah Pro, palmPDF, PDANet, ProfileCare, pTunes Deluxe, QuickNews, Reset Doctor, RescoBackup, SplashID/Money, TCPMP, TealLock, UninstallManager, volumeCare Pro, ZLauncher

be careful with the basic plan, it is what I have and I found with the first bill it does not include text message
-
which plan includes text messaging? $20 or $25?
regular texting cost is 10cents each right?
can anyone link me to a clear comparison between the vision plans - sprints descriptions are not detailed, they just say "channels such as E and FOX" no clear lists.

Text messaging isn't included in any Vision plan. It's a separate feature. They offer 500 for $8/month or unlimited for $15/month as the standard deals.

I'm not sure what the actual cost is per message, sorry.
For more specific Vision info, I'd recommend visiting www.sprintusers.com. That forum's got many Sprint reps who frequent it and can give you some plain English descriptions.
EDIT: One more thing to note, Sprint now charges for incoming SMS messages, as well as outgoing.

individual messages have gone up, they are now $.15/message

If you can get regular vision it works fine. The power vision is more for higher download speeds, sprint tv and audio streaming. I don't use these (650 user) so I kept my old vision plan. The old plan includes everything. (text etc...)
Plunker
Just trying to learn and talk at the same time here.

PIC messaging too? I'm on the $30 plan with the 500mins, i've got a 700wx and it doesnt even have a mms sending function! What device are you working with on your sero plan?

I've got the 15.00 unlimited package, and it works out great... I also have unlimited texting... I've got two phones on the plan, so they knock it down to 10 bucks for each phone...
