Default greetings...soon to be new to treo

I just want to say hello and ask the BIG question...am I making the right move? I have a Palm z22 as well as a Blackberry 7100i. I haven't gotten very adept at using either, but carrying both is tedious. I don't really need the nextel direct connect anymore, so I thought I would just stay with Sprint and upgrade. Hence, my introduction to the Treo755. My concern...a lady at the Sprint store has a Treo755 and she could not stop talking about all the problems she was having with her phone, such as, powering down when sending and receiving text messages. When asked what other problems she was having, there were "too many to mention". The guys at Sprint seemed shocked and surprised and had no answers. Question is, was it her phone, the operator, or the model?
Also, I use Vista on my laptop. Should I be concerned?
    thanks,
    mator13(just like tamator...without the "ta")

Probably her and not taking the time to learn to properly use and set the device up. Did she detail what she meant by powering down during the sending/receiving of text messages? Clearing of the db cache, the auto-timer off function, those are areas of interest.

I'm not familiar with all those things that you mentioned yet, as I have not yet gotten my phone, but I suspect you are right. She appeared to be trying to keep up with her daughters technologically, but didn't learn how to use her phone.
