The Pre will not require a Simply Everything plan. Other plans are available, but even at a minimum 450 minutes, your bill will be higher than your current $30 + $15.

I'm thinking of dropping Sprint and moving over to T-Mobile when the G2 comes out. I think I can get a plan there for about $10 more a month...plus I would hope the Google experience on those phones would be as good as or better than the Pre. I'm just not so sure about their coverage. But who knows what restrictions or requirements Sprint would impose on an Android device if and when they get one.

tbspider - be sure to keep in mind:
    - coverage if you travel - look at T-mobile's coverage map; it's a pretty big difference from the three majors
    - 3G coverage - I don't think it's available across their entire footprint
    - things like mobile-to-mobile calling can affect how many minutes you need to buy
