Default Sprint data plan????

I am thinking of upgrading my sprint plan and I am getting different answers from the sprint folks. I have 5 phones on my plan and only one that surfs the net. My question is if the other phones download a ringtone by text notification will there be charges? I have unlimited texting just not sure about the downloaded ringtone???

You will be charged $2.50 for the purchase of the ringtone and the casual data cost of $0.03/KB for the actual download.

It makes sense, you're using a service that you don't have a subscription to - just like text messaging.

Yeah I realize that but I am on a plan that everything is pretty much included and unlimited (old Plan) I have been told that once I upgrade to a power vision capable treo (755p) I will have to pay extra for the P. Vision. I believe it is $20.00 for the treo and the other phones would be charged $20.00 each also. The only phone that is not power vision capable is my 650 so I am getting away with murder according to Sprint....which btw does not have an upgraded vision to power vision service in my home network. Go figure.

Hmmmm. I was under the impression that the phone capabilities decides if it is P Vision capable or not. Sprint phones are either EVDO or bah I canʻt remember but the EVDO are P Vision capable with the other type is not.
Before I got my 650 I had a Fuzik and had full P Vision access but when I switched to the 650, due to some idiot running my phone over at a gas station not even 2 sec after I had dropped it, Sprint said I had to downgrade my vision service because the 650 is not EVDO.

Kind of sucked for me because I was used to being able to watch the news or a movie when my semi broke down and had to wait for a repair guy to come out.

The 650 is not capable of power vision speeds TV etc.. the 755p is an evdo capable phone. I am amazed that they lowered your bill if that is what you meant in your post. Sprint has stated that all they have is power vision service but some phones are not capable of the speed.....That is BS since my network (some local) but part of sprint does not have the higher speeds available yet.

Yah they said since my phone was no longer capable of using the $25 a month plan they would downgrade me to the $15 a month plan. I kind of liked the $25 plan because I could access SprinNav and it was unlimited use.

Oh well I bought a GPS receiver and use TomTom on my 650 now. Works just as good

Default Anyone use sprintnav??

I am going to upgrade my phone I am just concerned that there will be some neat feature that you need powervision to access. The other users on my plan do not need the vision right now.

Sprint PCS Vision is the speed level associated with the Treo 650. The Treo 755p, in order to use web, requires a Power Vision package. PCS Vision starts at $15, Power Vision starts at $15 as well. There is no price change unless you have a discounted price (possibly $10/mo) for PCS Vision. Power Vision does offer more features than the older Vision service. And I can tell you from testing there is a speed difference.
