I think we know the G1 and Hero are different but they both run Android albeit different versions. Sense UI is just an HTC face over Android. Like TouchFlo over Windows or Mobile Shell over Windows.

The apps don't make it a more advance phone. Maybe the apps make it a more usable phone until the app catalog gets populated better.

The apps make it a more advance phone than the pre.
What killer apps are available on Android? I have a G1 and would like to check out these apps. I've used plenty of Android apps, but nothing has wowed me.

The Pre can also multitask, true about the 8000+ apps for Android, but dont forget the Android been around longer then the Pre, I think the Hero will be a great addition to Sprint line up of phones, now my daughter wants one and my wife. I can compare the Hero to the Pre in Oct when it comes out. Hopefully this new leaked update will greatly improve the Pre. Both phones are great smart phones, it all comes down to your personal needs and personal lifestyle.

Pre so easy to use even a caveman can use it.

Visual voicemail app comes from Pal, and it is Palm choice to have it or not. About the personalizing, the Android is older so it is more worked on OS then the Pre, I know that the Pre will more robust then the Android cause Android is out longer then the Pre and still it didnt make such a splash as the Pre.

Pre so easy to use even a caveman can use it.

Instinct has visual voice mail, but the phone sucks. I had one, the instinct is not in the same league with the other phones in this discussion

None.... iv had my g1 for about a year and the apps... well suck..

Thats why im going Pre. i see with the pixi going to Verizon that the WebOS store will get bigger.

the thing about android is that one guy might have a idea for a great game while a droid could handle the game a MyTouch or G1 couldn't and he would have less drive to make the game if only one or 2 android phones can run it. if there's alot more out.
